The Estates at Honeybee Ridge

Nestled along the history rich Honeybee canyon, it is easy to see why many Hohokam Indians chose this spot to live, hunt and built pit homes. The area is saturated with saguaros especially along the western portion on this rock encrusted land.

The Developer, Scott Stiteler carefully laid out each home site to capitalize on the beauty of the land. The roads were cut with the curves of the natural topography and even though it was more expensive, Scott saw the necessity to keep the land rich and as natural as possible. Several finger cul-de sacs boarding washes enhance the home sites to feel one with the desert. By boarding so many home sites along the washes, the owners revel in the beauty and wildlife that peruse the washes. Javelinas, Mule deer, Bobcats, Jackrabbits are all too common amongst this gorgeous desert habitat.

Only 128 fortunate owners will call this community home.  Each home site is a minimum of one acre. The subdivision is guard gated to insure privacy. There are still several original developer lots available and some resale homesites.  Homes Range in price from $1,000,000 to multiples of this number. Each home site can be disturbed 16,000 sq.ft. Set backs are 30 feet from the front, 20 on each side lot line and 40 feet from the rear. The subdivision has strict architectural guidelines and is over seen by one of Tucson’s Premiere Architects Ron Robinette.

The community was the site of the 1998 Street of Dreams. The Street of Dreams is a program in which a development will bring in the areas top builders, architects and designers to build exquisite custom homes. The Homes host the latest and greatest in finishes, electronics, design and elements to create “masterpiece custom homes”. This event was the catalyst of creating the upscale theme of this community.

The community’s culture is very friendly. Neighborhood gatherings happen at least once a year to welcome new property owners and nurture friendships of old neighbors. It is an affluent group with a very sincere camaraderie. Within the development the architecture is fantastic. It hosts the work of Architects and builders: Ron Robinette, Kevin Howard, Alan Roberts, Jeff Cooke, Jim Gray, Mark Alan, Kelly Copeland, Bern Loftfield, Mike Almli, Gani Berisha, Ken Klaybaugh, Lou Marson, Chris Kemmerly, Ken Samson, Royden Faryenkamp, Dennis Kirton, Pathway Developments, and more. It is a delight to review the different styles indigent of the desert and see each talented builder and architects expressive works canvassed on the land.
